Electrical Controls Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a machinery manufacturer to recruit an Electrical Controls Engineer for their Leeds facility.

Our client seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer comfortable working independently on smaller projects or as part of a larger team. The successful candidate will be involved in all project phases, from Sales to Commissioning and aftermarket support.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and specify electrical controls for high-pressure hydraulic equipment.
2. Design and program PLC control systems.
3. Collaborate with customers on specifications and design.
4. Prepare and present to potential customers.
5. Coordinate with suppliers on technology requirements.
6. Work with the sales team on technical support and pre-sales information.

Candidate Requirements:

• HND / Degree or equivalent apprenticeship training.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Experience in PLC programming, including Ladder and high-level languages like SCL.
• Experience with WinCC and HMI design.
• Functional safety and safety programming experience.
• CAD experience (AutoCAD, Eplan, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of electrical controls legislation (regulations, LV Directive).
• Experience with Rockwell PLC platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Office tools).
