Job summary

Vantage Consulting Limited is seeking an Electrical / Controls Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team delivering intelligent monitoring, metering and controls solutions across commercial and industrial sites in the South West UK.

This hands-on role covers the full project lifecycle—from site surveys and technical design to installation support, commissioning, handover and troubleshooting. Extensive travel to project sites will be required, with a hybrid/field-based working pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning electrical/controls systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and fault-find.
• Willingness to travel extensively to sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys and technical design for commissioning projects.
• Support installation and commissioning activities on site.
• Handover and documentation to clients and contractors.
• Supervise contractors and ensure client satisfaction.

Electrical / Controls Commissioning Engineer

Salary: £60,000-£65,000

An opportunity has opened for an experienced Electrical / Controls Commissioning Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering intelligent monitoring, metering and controls solutions across commercial and industrial sites.

This is a varied, hands-on role covering the full project lifecycle - site surveys, technical design, installation support, commissioning, handover and troubleshooting.

You'll work across:

• Electrical systems, BMS and building controls
• Energy metering and monitoring
• IoT / cloud-connected technology
• Electrical and control schematics
• Testing, commissioning and fault finding
• Contractor supervision and client handover

We're looking for someone with a strong electrical background who has progressed beyond installation into commissioning, controls, metering or BMS.

You’ll ideally be electrically qualified with commercial/industrial experience, comfortable reading schematics and fault finding, and happy travelling extensively to project sites.

£60,000-£65,000 + package
