Play a critical role at Enfinium’s state-of-the-art Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility in Kemsley. As an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (E,C&I) Engineer, you’ll ensure the reliability, integrity, and performance of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems—helping transform waste into sustainable energy while maintaining safety and compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing

Based at our Kemsley facility, this role involves ensuring safe and efficient operations. You’ll work with the Maintenance Manager and plant teams on maintenance, fault-finding, and optimisation of high-voltage and control systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the full lifecycle of E,C&I assets including reactive, preventative, and condition-based maintenance.
  • Maintaining and optimising critical equipment such as DCS, SCADA, PLCs, HV/LV switchgear, and instrumentation across turbines, boilers, and supporting systems.
  • Troubleshooting complex electrical and control faults to minimise downtime.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures including LOTO, RAMS, PTW, and CDM regulations.
  • Supporting maintenance strategies, system upgrades, and capital projects.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement in plant performance, safety, and environmental standards.
What You’ll Bring

We seek a skilled, safety-conscious engineer with strong fault-finding skills. Essential qualifications include:

  • HNC/HND or higher in Electrical, Electronic, or Control & Instrumentation Engineering.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) safety qualification (desirable).

Experience & competencies:

  • Practical experience in E,C&I maintenance in power generation, process, or heavy industry.
  • Knowledge of HV/LV systems, instrumentation, PLCs, DCS, and SCADA.
  • At least 2 years supporting outage planning and execution.
  • Proficiency with CMMS, MS Project, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with CDM regulations and continuous improvement drive.
