Electrical and Instrument Technician – Crawley
An established industrial site in Crawley is looking for an experienced Electrical and Instrument Technician to join their maintenance team. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to take ownership of critical equipment and support safe, efficient site operations.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the reliability and safe functioning of all electrical and instrumentation equipment across the site
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and control systems to support continuous operations
Carry out routine testing, calibration, and preventive maintenance on instrumentation to ensure optimal performance
Lead the installation and commissioning of new equipment, including wiring, mounting, programming, and testing
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, safety checks, repairs, and installations
About You
Completed apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, ONC) in electrical or instrumentation
COMPEX qualified for work in Hazardous Area Installations
Approximately two years’ experience in a maintenance role, ideally on a chemical or process plant
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
High awareness of Health and Safety practices and control of major accident hazards (training provided if required)
