Job Description:

An Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer is needed for a highly successful food manufacturing business.

The Role and Responsibilities:

• Activate pre-defined workarounds or make temporary modifications to PLC code to address hardware faults;
• Investigate issues with live production control systems (hardware and software), using diagnostic tools like Profibus / Can Bus networks, Bar Code Readers;
• Analyze data and find solutions to improve MHE performance;
• Complete quality inspections to ensure safety standards;
• Create and document standard operating procedures, maintain accurate records;
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, layout drawings, wiring diagrams, wire harnesses, and BOMs for electrical panels.

Candidate Requirements:

Ideal candidates will have a background in food or FMCG manufacturing. You will also need:

• A degree in electrical engineering or related discipline, or advanced training with at least 5 years’ experience;
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a control’s technician or engineer, preferably in automation;
• Hands-on experience with automation hardware and software;
• Technical expertise in reliability issues for factory systems: PLC, HMI, VFD, servo-motion control;
• Understanding of PLC control system architecture and field control devices;
• Knowledge of DC motor controls;
• Experience with online code monitoring, modification, and development with PLC platforms like Siemens TIA Portal & Simatic Manager (preferred).
