Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to lead a busy M&E maintenance team from the head office in Wetherby, West Yorkshire. You will oversee electricians and office staff, manage maintenance contracts and small works, and ensure high standards of service across West Yorkshire.

The role involves client liaison, project planning, procurement, and reporting to the M&E Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation/maintenance
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
• Experience managing electricians on-site and remotely; SMSTS preferred
• Strong client liaison and customer service skills
• Full UK driving licence and commuting distance to Wetherby

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of electricians and office staff delivering maintenance contracts and small works
• Travel from head office in Wetherby to client sites across West Yorkshire
• Manage small projects: labour and materials procurement, schedules, client handover
• Be the main electrical contact for clients and staff
• Report to the M&E Operations Manager

Position: Electrical Contracts Manager

Location: Wetherby, West Yorkshire

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (DOE)

We currently have an opportunity available to join the electrical department of a well-established and continually growing M&E maintenance contractor who service a range of commercial clients across West Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.

Electrical Contracts Manager Job Overview

• Overseeing a team of Electrician's and office-staff delivering a range of electrical maintenance contracts, small works projects and remedial works
• Working from the companies head office in Wetherby and travelling regularly to customer sites across West Yorkshire and the surrounding areas
• Managing small projects, including labour and materials procurement, work schedules and client handover, with projects mostly ranging from £2k - £200k
• Being the point of contact for any electrical queries, both from clients and internal staff
• Reporting directly into the M&E Operations Manager

Electrical Contracts Manager Job Requirements

• Strong commercial electrical installation and/or maintenance background, qualified to NVQ Level 3
• Holding 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
• Previous experience managing electricians, both on-site and remotely, and ideally holding an SMSTS certification
• Confident in liaising directly with clients, including quoting for small works, dealing with client issues and providing excellent customer service
• Hold a full UK driving licence and live within a commutable distance of Wetherby

Electrical Contracts Manager Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary £50,000 - £55,000, negotiable depending on experience
