Job summary

SER Limited is seeking a Commissioning Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join their field-based engineering team across the UK. The role involves installation, commissioning and servicing of capital equipment at customer sites, with extensive UK travel and occasional longer away-from-home projects.

The successful candidate will have strong electrical bias, be comfortable with 3-phase/415V machinery, and read electrical/mechanical drawings. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning electrical systems on complex capital equipment.
• Ability to fault-find across electrical and mechanical subsystems.
• Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Willingness to travel UK-wide and stay away when required.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and service capital equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and fault-find on complex machinery and production equipment.
• Work with motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, servo drives and inverters.
• Carry out panel wiring and electrical installation.
• Diagnose faults on 3-phase / 415V machinery.
• Complete testing, commissioning and final checks prior to handover.
• Provide technical support and servicing to customers.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and customer service.
• Travel extensively throughout the UK.
