Job summary

microTECH Global Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical CAD Engineer to produce high-quality electrical drawings across diverse projects in Southampton. You will deliver schematics, wiring diagrams and general arrangements from design through to completion, collaborating with engineers, clients and manufacturing teams to meet technical standards and deadlines.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on CAD experience, strong knowledge of electrical principles, and the ability to work efficiently

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience producing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and general arrangements.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and three-phase systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong organisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and general arrangements.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and completed to project deadlines.
• Work with engineers and clients to understand technical requirements.
• Update drawings to reflect manufacturing and As-Built changes.
• Follow company, project and industry drawing standards.
• Support the internal drawing review and approval process.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Maintain and develop technical knowledge.
