Job summary

Optio Resourcing in Fleetwood is seeking an experienced Electrical CAD Engineer to join our office-based team. You will produce accurate 2D electrical layout drawings and support project teams with technical drawing requirements.

This full-time role involves developing CAD processes, maintaining drawing symbols, and performing admin tasks such as compiling O&M manuals and preparing site folders. Local candidates only.

Qualifications

• Proficient in 2D CAD and producing electrical layout drawings.
• Strong understanding of electrical installations and how they translate to drawings.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workload and support multiple projects.

Electrical CAD Engineer - Office Based

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

Location: 17 St Peters Place I Lancs I FY7 6EB

We are seeking an experienced Electrical CAD Engineer to join our growing team and support the delivery of high‑quality electrical layout drawings for our projects. This is a full‑time, office‑based role, ideal for someone local who enjoys working closely with project teams and contributing to both technical design and administrative project support.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D electrical layout drawings using CAD software
• Support project teams with technical drawing requirements and updates
• Develop and organise the CAD design function, including creating and maintaining drawing symbols to meet client specifications
• Carry out office administrative duties, including:
  • Compiling O&M manuals
  • Preparing site project folders
  • General project support tasks
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure drawings and documentation meet project deadlines and standards

Requirements

• Full working knowledge of 2D CAD software
• Strong understanding of electrical installations and how they translate into technical drawings
