Job summary

TXM Recruit are recruiting for a Breakdown Engineer role based in Rushden, Northamptonshire. The position encompasses service and repair of industrial machinery with a salary of £35,000–£48,000 DOE and a 40-hour week from 8am to 5pm.

You will diagnose faults from machine drawings, repair using electrical schematics, and apply PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge as needed. A Full UK driving license is required, with a van provided for work and door-to-door pay.

Qualifications

• City and Guild qualification in Electrical or Mechanical is required.
• Industry experience with breakdown repair of industrial equipment is expected.
• Full UK driving license is essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults based upon open machines.
• Rectify faults using electrical drawings.
• Apply knowledge of PLCs for repairs.
• Utilise pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical skills when required.

Breakdown Engineer - IND1

TXM Recruit are supporting an Breakdown Engineer company based in Rushden, Northampton, who have been operating over 40 years with the onboarding of a new permanent Industrial electrician. The company have won the Northamptonshires SME Employer of the Y ear within the last 10 years and looking to continue this success.

• Salary - £35,000 - £48,000 DOE
• Hours - 40 hours per week 8am to 5pm. 20 minute guaranteed to stop for food and breaks when driving etc
• Location - 60 minute radius from Rushden NN10
• Other - Door to Door pay, Work Van / Fuel. 6am-6pm 1x rate, 6pm-12pm 1.5x rate, 12pm-6am 2x rate
• Stay away once a quarter to help supply Scottish customers
• Any weekend work is double time
• Travel time paid once reached Site or when reached NN10 postcode

The work will mix service and repair work to a number of industrial machines such as presses, compactors, balers, cut and crease machines etc and will work within the recycling, farm, printing and processing industries
