Job summary

ASC Connections is recruiting a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias) to join our engineering team in Greater Manchester. You will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on production machinery, diagnose faults, and support installation of new equipment.

The role offers a 36-hour week on rotating shifts, with a pension scheme, 28 days leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, and on-site parking. A strong electrical/PLC/HMI background is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related multi-skilled discipline.
• Apprenticeship-trained or equivalent engineering experience.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good mechanical maintenance knowledge and experience.
• Experience with PLC and HMI-controlled equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Fault-find on PLC and HMI-controlled machinery.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with health and safety legislation.
• Identify opportunities to improve machinery reliability and plant performance.
• Work with production teams to resolve breakdowns and maintain efficiency.
• Maintain electrical and mechanical systems to ensure safe operation.
