Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking an Electrical Asset Technician to join our team covering Colchester, Halstead, Sudbury, Braintree and surrounding areas. You will wire, install, maintain and control a wide range of electrical equipment used to treat and distribute water, with a strong focus on fault diagnosis and safety.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds electrical qualification required.
• 18th Edition compliance required.
• AM2 or JIB Gold Card or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
• Experience in inspections, maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Repairs to large pumps, actuated valves, VSD and 3-phase switchgear.
• Strong health & safety focus.
• Standby and overtime availability.

Responsibilities

• Wiring and installing electrical equipment for water treatment and distribution.
• Maintaining and controlling a diverse range of electrical assets.
• Calibrating and maintaining analytical equipment.
• Investigating asset trends and performing electrical interventions.
• Assisting external contractors and internal HV, optimisation and automation teams.
• Using electrical drawings to troubleshoot issues.
• Responding to technical issues to maintain water supply.
