Job summary

Oakmoor Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Assessor / Tutor in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £40K-£45K plus excellent benefits.

The successful candidate will deliver Level 3 Electrical/ Electrotechnical training to apprentices, assess learners in a high-tech centre, and support NVQ portfolios while preparing learners for End Point Assessments and AM2. Strong industry experience and teaching/assessing qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Assessor qualification (CAVA, A1 or equivalent).
• Teaching qualification (AET/PTLLS or equivalent).
• Industry experience as a qualified electrician.
• Full UK driving licence.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification desirable.
• Previous apprenticeship or FE training experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Level 3 Electrical / Electrotechnical Installation training to apprentices.
• Assess learners in a high-tech training centre.
• Support apprentices with their NVQ portfolios and progress reviews.
• Prepare learners for End Point Assessment and AM2.
• Work closely with employers to monitor apprentice development.

Education

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation

18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Assessor qualification (CAVA, A1 or equivalent)

Teaching qualification (AET/PTLLS or equivalent)

Industry experience as a qualified electrician

Full UK driving licence
