Job summary

Access Training is seeking an Electrical Tutor/Assessor to deliver practical and theory-based training across its Slough, Reading and Brentford sites, supporting adult learners retraining for careers in the electrical industry.

Qualified electricians with strong on-site experience, Level 3 electrical qualifications (including 18th Edition BS 7671) and an assessor qualification (desirable) are encouraged to apply. The role includes progression opportunities and a supportive teaching environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with strong on-site experience in electrical installation and testing.
• Clear, professional communication skills with a practical approach to teaching.
• Previous teaching, coaching or mentoring experience is advantageous; training and support provided.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate learner records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and classroom-based electrical training to adult learners.
• Support learners through theory sessions, practical training, assessments and one-to-one feedback.
• Assess learner progress and provide clear guidance.
• Maintain accurate learner records and ensure learners stay on track with qualifications.

Are you a qualified electrician with strong experience in electrical installation and inspection and testing, ready to move off the tools and into training? Access Training is looking for a knowledgeable and hands-on Electrical Tutor/Assessor to deliver training across its Slough, Reading and Brentford sites, supporting adult learners who are retraining or upskilling for careers in the electrical industry. The organisation specialises in helping career changers and upskillers gain the skills and qualifications needed to begin successful careers in the electrical industry. What You'll Be Doing

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and classroom-based electrical training to adult learners
• Support learners through structured theory sessions, practical training, assessments and one-to-one feedback
• Assess learner progress and provide clear, constructive guidance
• Maintain accurate learner records and ensure learners stay on track with their qualifications
• Create a positive, inclusive and safe training environment
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of training and assessment standards
• Deliver training across the Hackney, Farringdon and Croydon centres as required

Requirements

• Qualified electrician with strong on-site experience in electrical installation and testing
• Level 3 electrical qualifications, including Electrical Installation, 18th Edition BS 7671, and Inspection and Testing
• Assessor qualification, for example A1, CAVA or TAQA, is desirable
• Clear, professional communication skills with a practical approach to teaching
• Previous teaching, coaching or mentoring experience is advantageous, although full training and support will be provided
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate assessment and learner records
