Job summary

Think FE is recruiting an Electrical Assessor to support electrical apprentices across their learning journey at our Northamptonshire campus. You will manage a caseload, perform workplace assessments and give tailored feedback to help learners meet apprenticeship standards.

You will travel regularly to employers and training sites, require a full UK driving licence and own transport, and maintain accurate e-portfolio records and compliant assessment records.

Qualifications

• TAQA, CAVA or A1 Assessor qualification or be willing to work towards
• Recent electrical industry experience
• Level 3 Electrical qualification
• Experience assessing apprentices against apprenticeship standards or with apprentices in industry
• Full UK driving licence and own transport
• Excellent organisation, communication, record-keeping and e-portfolio skills

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of electrical apprentices and carry out workplace assessments
• Provide tailored feedback and guidance to support learner progress
• Monitor progress via digital platforms and e-portfolios
• Build strong relationships with employers and training providers
• Coordinate regular workplace visits and maintain accurate, compliant records

Electrical Assessor Location: Moulton, Northamptonshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent

Are you an experienced electrical professional looking to support the next generation of electricians? We're working with a well-established further education college in Northamptonshire that has an excellent reputation for employer partnerships, apprenticeship delivery and technical education. They are looking to appoint an Electrical Assessor to support apprentices throughout their learning journey, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in the industry.

The Role As an Electrical Assessor, you will manage a caseload of electrical apprentices, carrying out workplace assessments in line with apprenticeship standards. You'll provide tailored support, constructive feedback and guidance while monitoring learner progress through digital platforms and e-portfolios. You'll build strong relationships with employers and training providers, coordinate regular workplace visits and ensure assessment records remain accurate, compliant and up to date. Regular travel to employers and apprentices' workplaces is required, so a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
