Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Limited is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician for a permanent role based in Ampthill. The successful candidate will build cable and harness assemblies from engineering drawings and work instructions.

You will use hand tools, crimp tools, jigs and fixtures, and hand-solder with high accuracy, while maintaining 5S cleanliness and understanding IPC 620 standards.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling cables and harnesses from drawings and work instructions.
• Proficient in using hand tools safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with Jigs, fixtures and measuring tools.
• Understanding of ESD controls and safe handling.
• Experience with crimp tools and high-accuracy hand-soldering.
• Competent with IT/Software packages used in manufacturing.
• Adherence to 5S cleanliness and housekeeping practices.
• IPC 620 or IPC/J-standards knowledge or certification.

Responsibilities

• Cable and Harness manufacturing to specifications using drawings and work instructions.
• Understand and apply ESD controls in everyday work.
• Use crimp tools and hand-solder with high accuracy.
• Operate measuring tools and fixtures to tight tolerances.
• Maintain IT/software tools used for job-specific tasks.
• Keep work area clean and organized following 5S principles.
• Comply with IPC 620 or IPC/J standards as applicable.

• Use of Jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools

• Cable and Harness manufacturing to specifications using Work instructions and Engineering drawings


• Understanding of ESD controls
