Job summary

Acorn Recruitment is seeking a Production Operative to join the Electrical Assembly Department in Sparkford. You will assemble electrical products, wire components and conduct testing while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role offers full-time permanent employment, 40 hours per week, with an early finish every Friday and ongoing training. Working in a supportive manufacturing environment, you will progress as you develop new skills.

• Previous experience in electrical assembly, wiring, manufacturing or production environments would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical products, including backplates, damper motors and ventilation panels.
• Carry out basic electrical wiring of components such as fans, solenoids and actuators.
• Use hand and air tools safely and effectively.
• Assemble housings and enclosures to specification.
• Conduct quality inspections and product testing.
• Package and label finished products for dispatch.
• Operate production equipment in line with company procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.

Sparkford, BA22 7JJ | £12.71 per hour | Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am-12:30pm | Full-time, permanent | 40 hours per week

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-established and growing manufacturer based in Sparkford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with production, assembly or electrical wiring experience who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working within the Electrical Assembly Department, you will be responsible for assembling and testing a range of products while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency and safety. There may also be occasions when you will support the Mechanical Assembly team.
