Job summary

New Appointments Group is recruiting an Electronics Assembly Operative in Margate to assemble electronic products to documented instructions and quality standards. You will receive training across production processes, including dispatch and related areas.

The role requires prior electronics assembly and soldering experience, the ability to follow detailed instructions, and lifting up to 11 kg. The position is primarily seated with some standing and walking, in a manufacturing environment.

Location: Margate
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm and an early finish on a Friday at 8-12:45!
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an Electronics Assembly Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Margate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous electronics assembly and soldering experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work.

The Role

As an Electronics Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling electronic products in line with written work instructions and quality standards. You will receive ongoing training to develop your skills across the production process, through to dispatch and other areas as required.

• Carry out assembly and soldering to a high standard.


• Complete tasks accurately while meeting quality and production targets.


• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area.

About You

• Previous electronics assembly experience is essential.


• Previous soldering experience is essential.


• Able to follow detailed work instructions and technical documentation.


• Able to lift and move items weighing up to 11kg


• Comfortable working in a predominantly seated role, with occasional standing and walking.


• Good eyesight, including close vision, colour vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
