Job summary
Dovetail & Slate is seeking an Electrical Training Officer to support Welsh apprentices from a home-based role with regional travel. You will manage a regional caseload, conduct workplace observations, and prepare learners for EPA and the AM2 exam, while delivering progress reviews and assessments to industry standards.
The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Installation or equivalent, plus an ECS card and a full UK driving licence; TAQA/assessor qualifications and 18th Edition are
Qualifications
- Essential NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Installation or recognised apprenticeship.
- Valid ECS Card and full UK driving licence.
- Assessor awards and electrical qualifications are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Manage a regional caseload of electrical apprentices across Wales.
- Perform regular workplace visits, observations, and progress reviews with apprentices and employers.
- Assess apprentice knowledge, practical skills, and professional behaviours against industry standards.
- Support learners and employers through Gateway, End Point Assessment (EPA), and AM2 preparation.
- Monitor attendance, off-the-job training, and Functional Skills progress.
- Provide timely support and interventions for apprentices at risk of falling behind.
