Job summary

Salford City College invites an enthusiastic trainer/assessor to join our apprenticeship delivery team, focusing on electrical installation. This permanent role suits someone with industry background who can support learners and employers to achieve their apprenticeship journey.

You will meet stakeholders in person and online, provide guidance on the apprenticeship journey, undertake site-based assessments, and help learners gain AM2S while contributing to ambitious targets.

Qualifications

• Experience and qualifications in electrical installation, with apprenticeship delivery exposure.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills for learners and employers.
• Assessor qualification preferred; teaching/IQA and e-portfolio knowledge are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Meet with stakeholders both virtually and in person to plan learning journeys.
• Provide information and guidance on the apprenticeship journey to learners and employers.
• Support apprentices to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours and undertake site-based assessments.
• Review progress with employers and apprentices and maintain accurate records.
• Identify new apprenticeship opportunities and deliver short training courses for a large employer.
• Help the team reach and exceed ambitious targets.
