Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. You will support experienced electricians by learning and applying electrical techniques, following safety protocols, and troubleshooting issues in a residential setting.

This full‑time role offers on‑the‑job training, opportunities to gain hands‑on skills, and a path toward more advanced electrical work.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years driving experience.
Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
Adaptability, flexibility, and innovation as a team player.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities.
Basic PC and MS Office Suite familiarity; ability to access and manage email.

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation of electrical systems by wiring service panels, switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and generators.
Work in environments with safety protocols in place; handle hot, cold, and confined spaces.
Load and unload tools and materials; keep workspace organized.
Demonstrate punctuality, a positive attitude, and strong work ethic within a team.
Learn electrical techniques under supervision to develop skills in the trade.
Additional duties as assigned.
