Apprenticeship Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our team of skilled engineers as an Apprentice Engineer (Installation and Maintenance Electrician). This role offers specialised training, combining work towards an externally accredited NVQ qualification, developing new skills, and gaining valuable experience on the job.

Prospects:

This training lasts up to 3-5 years depending on the NVQ level. Upon completion, the candidate will be a qualified Installation and Maintenance Electrician, with opportunities for permanent roles within JLL.

Job Summary/Goals

Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and emergency works, assisting qualified engineers in electrical services. Working hours vary and may include day shifts, day shift with extended hours, or 12-hour rotating shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in PPM according to schedules, maintaining engineering standards for operational effectiveness.
  • Follow Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical work and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
  • Coordinate initial actions for EWIS requests and liaise with subcontractors.
  • Assist with electrical fault diagnosis, repair of electrical systems, lighting, and distribution.
  • Support other trades as needed.
Additional duties
  • Attend college as required.
  • Provide reports related to work and equipment.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as requested.
Health and Safety

All staff must take reasonable care for health and safety, following all relevant policies and instructions.

  • GCSE/O Level passes in Maths (B/5), English (C/4), Science (C/4), and a full driving licence.
