Job summary

1st Step Solutions is recruiting an Electrical AP/QA Supervisor to join a Tier 1 M&E contractor on a residential project in Liverpool. You will manage QA processes, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure timely closeouts and inspections.

The role requires LV AP certification, JIB card, and SMSTS/SSSTS, with strong literacy and people management skills. You will maintain QA records, prepare performance reports, and uphold health and safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Gold JIB Card.
• SSSTS/SMSTS.
• LVAP Certificate.
• Good literacy skills.
• Proactive thinking with an enthusiastic character.
• Well organised and able to meet deadlines.
• Excellent people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete QA documentation including mark ups, snag sheets and installation checklists. Compile with sub-contractors QA and issue to main contractor for inspection.
• Ensure close out of any client and consultant snags in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of work progress, inspections, and testing activities.
• Prepare reports on MEP performance, issues, and corrective actions.
• Maintain effective health and safety systems, including completion of risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks, etc.
• LV works.

The ideal candidate must hold an Electrical LVAP Certificate dated within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities:

• Complete QA documentation including mark ups, snag sheets and installation checklists. Compile with sub-contractors QA and issue to main contractor for inspection.
