Job summary

INEOS Chemicals Grangemouth Limited invites applications for Electrical & Instrument Engineering Graduates 2027. Based at Grangemouth, you’ll be embedded in a team of engineers, tackling diverse asset operations from day one to build technical capability and business awareness.

Aimed at fast-track development with a clear chartership route. You’ll join an IET Accredited training programme with opportunities for ongoing career development and a supportive, empowered work culture in a leading UK

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2:1 Bachelor’s (with Honours) in an Engineering Council recognised degree in either Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related course.
  • Ambition and personal motivation.
  • The ability to work under pressure, with confidence.
  • A drive for action, initiative and delivery, a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A valid UK driving licence or currently working towards achieving this.
  • Placement or Industry experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team of engineers to support asset operation across SHE, production, reliability and energy use improvements.
  • Engage from Day 1 to develop technical ability, personal impact and business awareness towards IET Accredited Chartership.

Title: Electrical & Instrument Engineering Graduate 2027

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Grangemouth HQ, Scotland

Salary: Starting salary of £38,000

Start Date: Autumn 2027

ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

Based in Grangemouth our graduates work in a variety of different roles designed to give a diverse set of early experiences. Each role supports different aspects of asset operation (including SHE, production, reliability and energy use/variable cost improvements) to deliver the short through long term asset strategy. You will be embedded within a team of experienced engineers and given responsibilities from Day 1 designed to facilitate development and growth of technical ability, personal impact and business awareness through to IET Accredited Chartership. You will immediately develop key skills and experiences required for a successful career in your discipline.

ABOUT YOU
We are seeking the top Electrical & Instrument Engineering graduates who have the following skills and qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2:1 Bachelor’s (with Honours) in an Engineering Council recognised degree in either Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related course.

Assessment Centre

A limited number of successful applicants will be invited to our in-person assessment day containing a group exercise, followed by two interviews: one behavioural and one technical. You will then break for lunch and if you were successful in passing the morning sessions you will deliver a short presentation to our Operations Director.

Provisional Offer

If you are selected as a successful candidate you will receive a provisional offer which will be subject to a medical assessment and reference checks.
