Job summary

Brook Street Health Care Assistant role in Cardiff (CF3) offers flexible agency hours to support elderly residents in nursing homes. You will assist with daily activities, personal care, and promoting independence while working as part of a supportive team.

The role includes long days, night shifts, and AM/PM splits. DBS checks, right to work in the UK, and non-sponsorship apply. Weekly PAYE pay, holiday pay, and training are provided; Brook Street Social Care is available for support.

Qualifications

• 6 months UK based care experience in the last year OR a year in the last 5 years.
• Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
• Willing to undergo DBS and reference checks
• Willing to undertake personal care
• To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users
• Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Provide care to elderly residents in nursing homes.
• Support residents with daily needs and promote independence.
• Assist residents with mental health, dementia, learning disabilities and physical health needs.
• Promote safety and encourage residents to participate in activities.
• Work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
