Job summary

Arcus Search is seeking a Security Data & Platform Engineer to join its Security Engineering team. This hands-on role requires deep Elastic Security expertise and an engineering mindset to own data pipelines powering monitoring, threat hunting and incident response.

You will lead the evolution of the security data platform across cloud, endpoint, network and SaaS environments, partnering with Platform Engineering and SOC teams to improve data quality, reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• Strong Elastic Stack experience and security telemetry expertise.
• Experience with Logstash, Beats, Kafka or similar tech.
• Experience with security data ingestion and normalization.
• Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, GCP or hybrid envs.
• Scripting in Python or Bash for automation.
• Solid understanding of security data architecture and platform engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own the security data platform within Elastic Security.
• Build and optimise scalable telemetry pipelines.
• Improve data quality, normalisation and performance.
• Automate operational workflows using Python or Bash.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code and configuration as code practices.
• Drive long-term improvements to the security data strategy.
• Work closely with Platform, Cloud, SOC and Detection Engineering teams.
