Job summary

William James Recruitment is seeking an EL/PL Solicitor to join a Manchester team. You will manage your own EL/PL caseload from pre- to post-litigation, drafting statements and reviewing medical reports while delivering high-quality client care.

The role offers hybrid and flexible working, a salary up to £60,000 dependent on experience, and clear progression opportunities within a reputable firm.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a caseload of EL/PL claims.
• Good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Litigation experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload of EL/PL claims pre- and post-litigation.
• Progress files from instruction to conclusion.
• Draft witness statements and key documents; review expert evidence and medical reports.
• Instruct medical experts and counsel; attend conferences, hearings and trials.
• Deliver excellent client care and manage deadlines in a busy team.

EL / PL Solicitor - Manchester - Up to £60,000 - REF 941569RR

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a nationally recognised Legal 500 firm based in Manchester, with an excellent reputation for Personal Injury litigation and client care.

Due to continued growth and success, the firm is now looking to appoint an EL/PL Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its expanding team. You'll manage your own caseload of pre- and post-litigation matters while working within a supportive environment that offers genuine long-term career development.

The Role:

• Manage your own caseload of EL/PL claims (pre and post litigation)
• Progress files from initial instruction through to conclusion
• Draft witness statements and key legal documentation
• Review expert evidence and medical reports
• Instruct medical experts and counsel
• Attend conferences, hearings and trials where required
• Assess quantum and make settlement offers
• Deliver excellent client care throughout the claims process
• This is an excellent opportunity to build your litigation expertise within a highly regarded claimant PI team

About You:

• Experience managing a caseload of EL/PL claims
• Good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
• Litigation experience preferred but not essential
• Able to manage deadlines and prioritise a varied workload
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Excellent communication and client care ability
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
