Job summary

William James Recruitment is recruiting an EL/PL Solicitor for a Manchester-based role with a leading Legal 500 firm. You will manage your own EL/PL caseload and progress files end-to-end within a supportive team.

The position offers hybrid and flexible working, a salary up to £75,000 depending on experience, and a structured path for progression within the claimant PI department.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a caseload of EL/PL (accident) claims.
• Solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Litigation experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize a varied workload.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and client care abilities.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage own EL/PL caseload (pre and post litigation).
• Progress files from instruction to conclusion.
• Draft witness statements and key documentation.
• Review expert evidence and medical reports.
• Instruct medical experts and counsel.
• Attend conferences, hearings, and trials where required.
• Assess quantum and make settlement offers.
• Deliver excellent client care throughout the claims process.
• Grow litigation expertise within the claimant PI team.

EL / PL Solicitor - Manchester - Up to £75,000 + Benefits + Bonus

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a nationally recognised Legal 500 firm based in Manchester, with an excellent reputation for Personal Injury litigation and client care.

Due to continued growth and success, the firm is now looking to appoint an EL/PL Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its expanding team. You'll manage your own caseload of pre- and post-litigation matters while working within a supportive environment that offers genuine long-term career development.

The Role:

• Manage your own caseload of EL/PL claims (pre and post litigation)
• Progress files from initial instruction through to conclusion
• Draft witness statements and key legal documentation

• Instruct medical experts and counsel
