Job summary

A leading legal firm in Manchester is seeking an experienced paralegal to support their growing personal injury department. The role involves managing a caseload from investigation through to trial, offering a competitive salary and excellent progression opportunities. Ideal candidates will have strong litigation experience and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Run a caseload of EL and PL files from initial instruction.
Investigate liability, take witness statements and instructions.
Review complex disclosures and negotiate settlements.

Skills

Litigation experience in EL / PL

Due to the development and continued growth of the firm’s personal injury department, they are now seeking a paralegal to run a case load of EL and PL files, whilst assisting the Partner with their complex injury caseload.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling cases involving employers liability / public liability as you will be responsible for running a case load from initial instruction to investigate liability and quantum, taking witness statements and instructions, reviewing complex disclosure, making offers and negotiating settlement, and instructing counsel to take cases to trial.
