• Negotiate settlements and progress matters through NI litigation process.
• Work with senior solicitors on higher-value matters.

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity for an EL / PL Litigation Solicitor to join a well-established Belfast law firm with an established claimant litigation practice and an excellent reputation for client care.

This role offers the opportunity to manage your own caseload, work on quality EL/PL claims and develop your career alongside experienced Partners and senior solicitors.

Ideally suited to a solicitor with around 1+ year PQE, this is a great opportunity for someone looking for genuine responsibility, strong technical development and a clear route for progression within a supportive and growing litigation team.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of Employer Liability and Public Liability claims, taking responsibility for matters from initial instruction through to resolution.

Your role will include:

• Managing your own EL / PL litigation caseload.
• Taking client instructions and providing clear legal advice.
• Assessing liability, quantum and case strategy.
• Reviewing medical records, witness evidence and other documentation.
• Drafting pleadings, correspondence, witness statements and court documents.
• Liaising with clients, Counsel, insurers, experts and third parties.
• Negotiating settlements and preparing matters for hearings and trial.
• Progressing claims through the Northern Ireland litigation process.
• Working alongside experienced litigators on more complex and higher-value matters.

About You

We're keen to speak with NI-qualified Solicitors with around 1+ year PQE or above who have experience in EL, PL and/or wider personal injury litigation.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience managing your own litigation caseload.
• Experience in EL / PL and/or personal injury claims.
• Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Good knowledge of the Northern Ireland litigation process.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in litigation.

The firm is open to candidates with slightly different backgrounds, so strong claimant litigation or personal injury experience will also be considered.
