Job summary

Construction is seeking an Electrical Testing & Remedial Works Engineer for a predominantly South London base. You will perform fixed wiring testing (EICR) across social housing and local authority properties, with on-site remedials and full rewires for non-compliant cases.

You will certify electrical works, report findings clearly, and liaise with residents and clients while upholding safety standards and company procedures. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have practical electrical installation and testing expertise.
• Proven EICR experience across domestic and commercial properties.
• Ability to certify electrical works accurately and legally.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities.
• Team-oriented with good reporting and communication skills.
• Proficient using mobile devices for on-site job sheets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EICRs and complete associated remedial works.
• Diagnose, identify, and report electrical faults accurately.
• Complete all job notes, photos, and certificates.
• Communicate professionally with residents, clients, and colleagues.
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
• Adhere to company policies and operational standards.
• Participate in training and support continuous improvement.
• Carry out additional duties as required by management.
• Work safely in accordance with current Health & Safety regulations.
