The Vacancy

Binnies is recruiting Environmental Consultants to join our growing multi-disciplinary Environmental Services team. You will work on diverse projects including flood, coastal, and maritime initiatives for clients such as the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, local authorities, ports, water utilities, transport, and renewable energy sectors.

One of our projects is SESRO (South East Strategic Reservoir Option), a 150 million cubic metre reservoir near Abingdon, aimed at creating habitats, increasing biodiversity, and providing leisure facilities. More info: https://thames-wrmp.co.uk/projects/sesro/.

About The Role

Responsibilities include:

• Contributing to all stages of EIAs including SEA, feasibility, screening, scoping, and Environmental Statements
• Providing input on environmental assessments and permitting applications
• Coordinating technical input from environmental specialists
• Supporting construction delivery and stakeholder engagement
• Contributing to bids and proposals

Essential Requirements

Ideal candidates will have:

• An environmental degree
• Membership of IEMA, IES, CIWEM, or similar
• Progress towards Chartership
• Understanding of EIA processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Full UK driving license
• Consultancy experience
• Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines
