If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Impact Assessment team as our new EIA Consultant and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.

Your new role

As our new EIA Consultant, you will bring your knowledge of EIA into play as you support the coordination of statutory and non-statutory environmental assessment processes across major development proposals for a range of sectors including onshore & offshore energy, property & development, datacentres and major infrastructure projects. To succeed in this role, you should be able to apply environmental consenting processes in the UK as well as have an understanding of wider planning processes and regulations.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting project team management and client liaison, together with assisting on business and client development
  • Working in multidisciplinary teams on the coordination, management and delivery of EIAs including taking responsibility for leading elements of smaller projects and delivering parts of larger schemes
  • Desk-based environmental baseline data collection and interpretation, including site visits
  • Report writing and preparation of figures, including drafting Environmental Statement introductory chapters, undertaking cumulative assessments and preparing non-technical summary documents
  • Stakeholder liaison including preparing materials for, and assisting with, stakeholder meetings and public consultations

We recognise that some candidates only apply when they tick every box. However, passion and potential often outweigh a perfect resume and Ramboll’s supportive learning culture can help you grow. So, if this role resonates with you but you don't meet all the requirements, we encourage you to apply. You might be the perfect fit for this opportunity or another within our team.

You will be part of our UK Impact Assessment team, which forms part of our Global Impact Assessment Service Line.
