Colonial Group is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead health, safety and environmental initiatives at our Barry site in Wales. You will implement and maintain site management policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across safety, environment and training.

The role requires working with the site leadership team, auditing EHS systems, leading ISO 14001 and COMAH compliance, and managing budgets while engaging stakeholders across functions.

Competenze

• Graduate in Chemistry/Engineering or significant and relevant EHS experience.
• Auditor training and experience.
• Proficient in software tools needed to manage EHS, such as Gensuite.
• Experience in chemical processes relevant to the site is desirable.
• Able to manage budgets, plan costs and lead functional teams.

• Responsible for managing, developing, and auditing EHS systems, ensuring statutory compliance with regulations, company policies, campaigns and standards and culture improvement.
• Leads two-way communication between site and central EHS functions, ensuring alignment and proactive support.
• Leads and improves the ISO 14001 management system for compliance and performance.
• Leads COMAH and Process Safety Management requirements and emergency planning.
• Designs and implements EHS programs with structured planning and risk-based decisions.
• Responds to, classifies and investigates incidents to prevent recurrence.
• Delivers effective EHS training and communicates expectations across all levels.
• Manages and optimises EHS finances.
• Ensures compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act sections 7 & 8.
• Liaises with community and industry organisations; interacts with DGSA for ADR compliance.
