Tasks and Qualifications:
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Act as EHS Lead for installation projects, supporting the Project Management Team to ensure safety, legality, and compliance with EHS standards.
- Promote and enhance a positive safety culture.
- Enforce principal contractor/client and site EHS standards.
- Vet potential sub-contractor groups.
- Participate in design risk assessments and CEA reviews.
- Ensure risk register implementation aligns with CDM Regulations.
- Serve as the EHS subject matter expert for local regulations, advising site management on compliance issues.
- Support Dematic and local EHS teams in achieving safety goals.
- Provide input and advice on EHS issues.
- Audit compliance with the One Dematic Annex EHS standards.
Safety Initiatives and Mentoring:
- Contribute to safety culture improvements.
- Mentor, educate, and coach managers and employees on safety standards and best practices.
- Recommend pragmatic safety improvements on installation sites.
- Conduct Behavioral Based Safety Observations (BBSO) and record findings on Gensuite.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support ongoing installation and commissioning safety solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet sustainability goals.
- Maintain the Dematic Safe System of Work (SSoW) across sites.
- Monitor adherence to the Site EHS Plan and related annexes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum NEBOSH Level 5 Diploma in Occupational H&S.
- Valid memberships of mandatory EHS bodies (e.g., IOSH, IIRSM, IPAF, CITB-CSCS).
- Language skills: minimum B1-C1 level in project and local language.
- At least 5 years as an EHS professional, with 3 years on installation/construction sites.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and Machinery Directive.
- Proficient in MS Office and cloud-based systems.
- Ability to lead EHS teams across multiple sites in the UK, Ireland, and Nordics.
- Capable of delivering EHS training, writing safety alerts, and supporting incident investigations.
- Experience reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
