Job summary

Futures in Cornwall is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Lead to head the site EHS function, combining hands-on compliance with leading continuous improvement projects.

You will manage one HSE Advisor, partner with Manufacturing, Engineering and Operations to reduce risk, drive safety culture, lead investigations and maintain EHS systems and coaching for site leadership.

A recognised Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH is preferred.

Qualifications

• Seasoned HSE/EHS professional with experience in manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Strong leadership and mentoring experience.
• NEBOSH or equivalent qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day Environmental, Health & Safety function across the site.
• Drive improvements in site safety culture, standards and behaviours.
• Lead and support EHS continuous improvement projects and site initiatives.
• Coach and develop one HSE Advisor.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering and Operations teams to identify and reduce risk.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain and continuously improve EHS systems, procedures and compliance.
• Provide practical EHS guidance and coaching to employees and site leadership.
