Job summary

A leading workplace solutions provider is seeking an EHS Advisor to join their team in the UK. This role involves mentoring site personnel, supporting risk assessment processes, conducting audits, and enhancing EHS programs. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH General Certificate, strong communication skills, and knowledge of UK health and safety legislation. This full-time position requires the ability to work independently while effectively engaging with stakeholders across various levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role, preferably within a chemical production or laboratory environment.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessments and emergency preparedness.
• Experience managing hazardous substances.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship and guidance on EHS matters.
• Support managers in completing risk assessments.
• Undertake audits and inspections to identify hazards.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs.
• Assist with investigations and root cause analysis.
• Maintain EHS documentation and records.
• Support sustainability initiatives.

Skills

Knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation

Strong communication skills

Ability to engage and influence stakeholders

Proficiency in Microsoft applications

Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

NEBOSH General Certificate
