Job summary

Telent Technology Services Ltd in the UK is seeking an EHS Advisor to support operational teams across Network Services, embedding health and safety best practice and driving KPI progress. This is a hybrid role with occasional travel to Chorley.

You will lead audits, site inspections, incident investigations and toolbox talks, promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with Telent and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General or Higher certification (or working towards).
• Experience in site inspections with hazard spotting and reporting.
• Auditing and coaching teams to improve H&S culture.
• Data management, records systems and reporting tools requiring accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive EHS culture to stakeholders and employees.
• Assist with internal and external EHS audits to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Attend meetings to maintain and improve service delivery and KPI progression.
• Undertake site inspections as per the schedule.

Job description

Reporting to the Head of EHS for Network Services, the EHS Advisor will support operational teams in embedding industry best practice, strengthening health and safety performance, and promoting a positive safety culture through effective management systems across our portfolio of projects within Network Services.

This is a hybrid role with occasional travel to the Chorley office and national travel approximately 2 days per month.

What you’ll do:

• Promote a positive EHS culture to the stakeholders and employees
• Assist with internal and external EHS audits within the business unit to ensure compliance with all EHS, Telent and legislative requirements
• Attend internal and external meetings as required providing input to maintain and improve service delivery and required KPI progression
• Undertake site inspections as per the schedule
• Author of Toolbox Talks and Alerts as required
• Undertake Incident Investigations
• Actively seek out opportunities to improve overall service delivery for EHS provisions and add to overall continuous improvements in both EHS and business unit for the overall improvement of Telent
• Assisting in the investigation and reporting of accidents, incidents and non-conformances and making an action, including providing support for Route Cause Analysis Investigation and actions as and when required

Who you are:

You are a proactive EHS professional with a strong understanding of health, safety and environmental best practice, ideally gained within the Telecoms / Utilities / Engineering or other relevant sectors. You enjoy working closely with operational teams to drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance, and promote a positive safety culture.

Key Requirements:

• NEBOSH General or Higher (or working towards)
• Previous working knowledge of Site inspection skills, including hazard spottin & reporting,
• Experience in auditing and coaching teams to improve H&S Culture
• Previous experience of data management, records systems and reporting tools requiring an accuracy to detail
• Computer literacy in Microsoft office 365
• IT skills to manage data and log daily progress
• Full Clean Driver’s Licence
• Must be eligible for Security Clearance
