An exciting opportunity has arisen in the UCLH Electronic Health Record team with roles focused on deploying a Patient Appointment Self-Scheduling system. Candidates are sought who have a keen interest in digital healthcare and hold relevant Epic certifications, working in a hybrid capacity to enhance patient-centered care through innovative solutions.
An exciting opportunity to join the UCLH Electronic Health Record (EHR) team has arisen within our Patient Access & Flow team.
We are looking to recruit four enthusiastic individuals to form part of a new team responsible for the deployment of a DEP to SER Masterfile conversion and Patient Appointment Self-Scheduling via MyCareUCLH (MyChart). We have a mixture of permanent and 2-year fixed-term posts available; this will be discussed with candidates at interview.
We seek individuals with a strong interest and experience in digital healthcare within an outpatient setting. Applicants should be Epic Certified/Proficient in at least one application, preferably Cadence, Ambulatory, MyChart, or other PAS-based applications such as Grand Central or Springboard.
This programme is a unique and challenging initiative aimed at delivering significant benefits for both patients and the organization. Using agile methodology, we will collaborate with stakeholders to design, release, and iterate rapidly—delivering value early.
Our Epic EHR system enhances care by providing seamless access to information for staff and patients, ensuring services and treatment plans are patient-centered. Patient Self Scheduling is vital to our transformation, supporting our vision of a digitally enabled organization that promotes efficient, effective, and patient-focused care.
The post holders will be part of a dedicated scrum team responsible for designing, configuring, building, and testing the Patient Self-Scheduling programme and related components. Working alongside the EHR Deputy Delivery Manager and Training & Adoption colleagues, they will build relationships with departmental leads, super-users, and subject matter experts to assess current workflows and contribute to future design and successful delivery.
They will support the Deputy Delivery Manager in executing project plans, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to governance, quality standards, and agile principles. Regular engagement with clinicians and operational managers will be essential to analyze service needs, define clinical best practices, optimize workflows, and align system enhancements with Trust strategies.
Candidates holding only one of the desired certifications but lacking the other will be provided training and are expected to achieve certification or proficiency within their six-month probation period.
It is expected that post holders will spend at least one day on-site per fortnight, with flexibility for more frequent attendance depending on business needs. This role is suitable for staff seeking hybrid working arrangements.
