Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking a dedicated professional to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will deliver high-quality statutory assessments and develop EHCPs that make a difference, while managing a caseload and collaborating with families, schools, and professionals to secure the right support.

You will be involved in coproduction meetings, annual reviews, and liaison across education, health and social care to ensure quality plans

Qualifications

• Experience with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and statutory assessments.
• Ability to liaise with children and families, providers of educational provision and health/social care colleagues to ensure quality plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop and amend Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across the Local Authority for Children with SEND.
• Maintain a caseload of children at needs assessment and with EHCPs, creating and amending plans.
• Attend coproduction meetings and annual reviews as required.
• Liaise with children and families, schools and professionals to ensure aspirational outcomes.
