Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, Wantage site in Oxfordshire, seeks a dedicated EH&S Manager to lead and continuously improve environmental, health and safety programs on-site. This role protects people and the environment, driving a culture of safety and sustainability across operations.

You will report to Supply Chain and Site leadership, develop strategies, conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and maintain IOS 14001 and IATF accreditations while collaborating with production

Qualifications

• Proven experience in EH&S leadership at a manufacturing site.
• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to lead audits, investigations and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage site EH&S strategy and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits and health/safety legislation.
• Lead incident investigations and implement preventive actions.
• Deliver EH&S training and promote safety campaigns.
• Conduct internal audits and maintain regulatory records (ISO 14001, IATF).
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering and EH&S teams.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for adedicated and experienced EH&S Manager to lead and continuously improve our environmental, health, and safety programs at our key manufacturing site in Wantage, Oxfordshire. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, protecting our people and the environment, and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability across all operations.

This is an on-site role reporting to the Supply Chain and Site Dierctor.

What will you be doing?

EH&S Leadership:Develop, implement, and manage site-wide EH&S strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with global standards and local regulations.

Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure full compliance with environmental permits, health and safety legislation, and internal standards. Conduct risk assessments and lead mitigation initiatives.

Incident Management:Lead investigations into EH&S incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Training & Engagement:Deliver EH&S training programs and promote employee engagement through safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Auditing & Reporting: Conduct internal audits, prepare regulatory reports, and maintain accurate records of EH&S performance metrics. Take responsibility for maintaining the business’s IOS 14001 and IATF accreditations

Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and corporate EH&S teams to ensure alignment and support for site initiatives.
