Job summary

SUEZ in Aberdeen is seeking an engineer/operator to support EfW plant systems on 12-hour day/night shifts. You will monitor, control and adjust processes to keep operations safe and efficient, sample boilers, analyse results and address issues.

The role emphasizes safety, environmental compliance and continuous improvement, with opportunities to develop process control knowledge and certifications such as BOAS and IOSH.

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical, electrical or process engineering within an EfW site or similar.
• Knowledge of boilers, process control, instrumentation and environmental legislation.
• Process Plant Operations Qualification (Level 1, 2 or 3) or equivalent experience in a chemical or energy facility.
• Holding or willingness to work towards certifications such as BOAS Cert IBO and IOSH Working Safely, with good IT skills.
• A collaborative mindset and motivated to continuously improve

What will I be doing?

Working 12-hour shifts (days and nights), you'll help keep our plant running safely and efficiently. You’ll work directly with critical EfW plant systems, helping to convert waste into energy safely, efficiently and in line with environmental legislation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Identifying, troubleshooting and resolving process or equipment problems
