Job Overview

Please note this role can be offered on a hybrid working basis. 50% must be worked from one of the following offices:

• Hartlepool
• Hemel Hempstead
• Bracknell
• Alderley Edge

Join our team as a Security Operations Network Engineer to provide high-quality, proactive support to a vibrant multi-client community. You will deliver best-in-class solutions, work with cutting-edge technology, and thrive in a customer-focused support environment.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard network security through meticulous security and vulnerability patch management.
• Investigate alerts, respond swiftly to incidents, and provide valuable recommendations.
• Perform proactive scanning, implement ITHC remediation, and participate in threat hunting missions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams, automate remediation processes, and analyze Cisco/Palo Alto firewalls.
• Engage in diverse activities, including cross-location work and exciting business initiatives.
• Be flexible to cover out-of-hours work and exceed expectations.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Experience in large network environments.
• Proficiency in Cisco ASA/Firepower and Palo Alto/Panorama technologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Adaptability and a drive to advance customer solutions in a fast-changing IT landscape.
• Security clearances (SC and NPPV) or the ability to obtain them.
• Self-motivation, excellent communication, and client-facing skills.
• Full driving license and awareness of recognized security practices.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Pulse Secure, Gemalto/Thales, and network automation.
