Purpose

Our technology impacts thousands of companies and millions of lives. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software development and deployment, including performing and creating automated and manual tests to verify that the software meets requirements.

The Senior QA Engineer will report to the Agile Delivery Lead or Technical Delivery Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Test technical solutions, including complex components, maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with team members and other departments.
• Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, Regression).
• Analyze user stories and requirements for validity and feasibility.
• Mentor team members in an open, respectful, and supportive manner.
• Identify and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Provide timely testing execution and documentation.
• Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile lifecycle.
• Produce high-quality test plans, documentation, and reports.
• Document bug steps clearly, including complex replication procedures.
• Communicate regularly with QA, Scrum Master, and Development Manager.
• Support personal development and stay updated on emerging testing trends.
• Suggest improvements for testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Experience with automated testing tools for web applications, preferably Python with PlayWright, including maintaining automation test suites.
• Experience in manual testing, developing and executing tests based on specifications.
• Ability to produce detailed test plans, scripts, and reports.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting.
• Debugging and refactoring skills within automated frameworks.
• Knowledge of current software testing trends and practices.
• Experience with Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
• Understanding of quality standards, legislation, and best practices.
• Degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or related fields preferred.
• Ability to multitask and analyze data effectively.
• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Knowledge of security vulnerabilities, including OWASP top 10.
• ISTQB certification is preferred.
• Experience with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Minimum of 5 years in a software testing role.
• Motivated, solution-oriented, and a strong team player within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
