?️ Adult Social Care Locum Lawyers (Remote – Sheffield City Council)

? Remote working | ? Part-time (18.5 hrs) & Full-time (37 hrs) | ? 2–3 month initial contract | ? Competitive hourly rate - £55 to £60 Umbrella

CRA Consulting is working with Sheffield City Council to recruit two experienced Adult Social Care Lawyers on a locum basis. These remote roles are ideal for qualified solicitors or barristers with adult social care experience, offering flexibility and impactful work within local government.

The Roles:

• 1 x Part-Time (18.5 hours/week)
• 1 x Full-Time (37 hours/week)
• Both are fully remote and initially 2–3 months, with potential to extend.

? Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on adult safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act, Court of Protection, and DoLS.
• Represent the Council in court and tribunal hearings.
• Draft legal documents and support social care teams.
• Ensure legal compliance with the Care Act 2014 and related legislation.

? Requirements:

• Proven background in adult social care law within a local authority or similar.
• Strong advocacy, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload remotely.
