An established industry player is seeking a locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their busy team in the North-West. This role offers the flexibility of predominantly working from home, with occasional court attendance in Manchester. The successful candidate will manage a caseload, supervise junior solicitors, and advise on various Adult Social Care matters, including safeguarding law and the Care Act. We are currently working with a Local Authority based in the North-West , who are recruiting for a locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to support their busy team until the end of November .

The position is due to start immediately and the hourly rate is circa £50 - £60 p/hour, but is negotiable based PQE and candidate expectations.

The role can be conducted predominantly from home , with occasional court attendance in Manchester. Previous Local Government experience will be essential for the role and the successful candidate must be qualified as a Solicitor or CILEX.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

Managing a caseload of approximately 10, and advising clients on Adult Social Care matters across the Council

Supervising 2 solicitors within the team

Acting in court of protection matters

Preparing and representing the organisation in court of protection matters

Advising on all aspects of adult safeguarding law

Advising on plans and assessments for vulnerable adults

Advising on the duties of the organisation under the Care Act

Experience required:

Strong Adult Social Care experience

Relevant Professional Qualification – Solicitor, Barrister, FCILEX

Working hours:

37 hours per week

Monday – Friday
