Finance Analyst - Manufacturing Business Unit

Location: Hybrid - Derby (3 days per week on-site, remaining days from home)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Rate: Up to £472.50 per day (Umbrella) / Up to £360.91 per day (PAYE)
Start Date: Immediate

Are you an experienced Finance Analyst with strong reporting and forecasting skills? We are recruiting for a Finance Analyst to support a globally respected organisation that develops cutting-edge technologies for clean, safe, and competitive power solutions.

The Role

As a Finance Analyst, you will provide robust financial support to the Assembly Test & Controls (AT&C) team within the Manufacturing Business Unit (MBU). This role offers great exposure across a large and visible business area, working closely with senior stakeholders, including the VP Finance and wider Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post MBU journals, consolidate financial forecasts, and run flash reviews.
• Support MBU business review packs, monitor Opportunities & Threats, and manage rolling forecasts.
• Lead the MBU forecast process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Provide financial governance, target allocation support, and variance analysis.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering (ME) teams, helping them understand and challenge financial data.
• Conduct headcount reviews with HR and provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

What We're Looking For

Strong finance business partnering experience, with expertise in reporting and forecasting.
Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP & Hyperion (desirable).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and navigate ambiguity.
Qualified or part-qualified in AAT, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent (desirable).
Manufacturing background and standard costing experience (desirable).

• Security Clearance: BPSS (no higher clearance required).
• Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Travel: None expected.
