Quality Manager

We are recruiting for a Quality Manager who will ensure compliance and continuous improvement within the Quality Department.
Role Requirements - Quality Manager
- Line management and accountability for the Quality Team (3 direct reports), including performance, professional development, and attendance, fostering a positive, high-performance team culture.
- Manage all aspects of Site Quality and Assurance.
- Collaborate with Operations and Site Management to integrate quality objectives into business goals and develop strategies to reduce poor quality costs and improve operational efficiencies.
- Conduct internal, external, and customer audits in line with certifications and high-quality standards. Develop and track improvement and corrective action plans.
- Lead and train teams to develop effective corrective and preventive actions using 8D and Mistake Proofing concepts in response to customer concerns and audit results.
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement events and projects, utilizing tools like PDCA, Six Sigma, Mistake Proofing, and Kaizen.
- Communicate effectively across functions to support COPQ improvements and site initiatives.
- Contribute to site engagement and people initiatives.
- Promote health and safety, raising hazards and seeking safety improvements.
- Perform other reasonable management tasks to support site development.
Ideal Candidate
- Educated to Degree Level; Project and Change Management skills are desirable.
- Proven track record in a similar role or significant professional development towards a first Quality Manager position.
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal, at all levels.
- Self-motivated and proactive in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems in Aerospace and Defence sectors.
- Experience responsible for an AS9100 Audit.
- Knowledge of NADCAP is a bonus.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Positive, enthusiastic, with a history of achieving significant improvements.
- Data-driven with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
