A Quality Assurance (QA) Manager oversees the entire QA process, ensuring that the software or product meets the highest quality standards before it reaches the customer. This role involves strategic planning, team management, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Strategic Test Management Development: Direct the ongoing advancement of test management strategies to improve both manual and automated testing processes.
  • Standardisation and Guidelines Formulation: Define and enforce test management standards and guidelines to ensure consistent quality and alignment with best practices.
  • Quality Assessment and Oversight: Assess and oversee the quality of test management across the software lifecycle, utilizing metrics for performance evaluation.
  • Training and Consultation: Offer expertise and training to key personnel to elevate software test management practices organisation-wide.
  • Incident Analysis and Preventive Action: Investigate testing incidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures for continuous test management improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement Identification: Actively seek and implement enhancements in test management, advocating for innovative tools and methodologies.
  • Automation and Tool Integration: Lead the adaption of automated testing and test management tools, facilitating a shift towards a software-centric testing approach.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Professional Experience

Experience in establishing and manging QA in an organisation. ISTQB Guru.

Skills and Competencies

  • Developing long-term plans for quality assurance, including setting goals and determining the resources required to achieve them.
  • A strong understanding of software development, testing methodologies, and automation tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with team members, stakeholders, and upper management.
  • Managing the QA budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
  • Overseeing relationships with third-party vendors or service providers related to QA.
