What you'll be doing:

• Assessing and documenting life and disability risks by reviewing applications and deciding which terms can be offered based on your autonomy level.
• Leading or participating in projects to enhance underwriting processes and improve systems and commercial viability.
• Ensuring requests for additional information are appropriate and do not impact the customer journey unnecessarily.
• Managing complaints promptly and identifying root causes to ensure compliance.
• Maintaining accurate daily records for effective communication and decision-making.
• Keeping up-to-date with legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Communicating professionally with internal and external customers and third parties to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Meeting service commitments made during marketing and sales to ensure customer expectations are met.

Qualifications:

• Experience in underwriting protection products.
• Experience in UK medical underwriting (essential).
• Thorough understanding of mortality, morbidity, and financial underwriting risk factors.
• Extensive knowledge of protection products.
• Understanding of legislation and regulatory requirements (preferable).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
